Khairy Jamaluddin: The Man With The Plan

Hate him or Love him, this is the man to watch. Kenapa? because this man is reshaping the future of Malaysia, politically. This is just my opinion, but I do believe if he survives his test of leading UMNO Youth without relying on his PM Father-in-law like what we seem to label him before, he will be the one to unite us as Malaysian again. With his in-your-face approach, his flair and his ability to see and think ahead, for sure he injects new blood and definitely new style in his leadership. We lack young leaders like him, and I really hope that he's as good as his words on bringing the change.. Yes, before, I am not his fan, but I would like to really see his true self, and his worth.. Go Khairy..

TWILIGHT

I am considered useless for almost one week. Every free time I've got was consumed by them. Every sleep I had been dreaming about them. I am the latest casualty of the Vampire and Wolf people.. and I blame my Cousin @dr3h.. hehee

Macam gila pulak aku rasa.. macam budak-budak pun ada.. lost in fantasy world. The only difference maybe is that I didnt fall in love with any character. I love the whole alternate universe. Read all of them twice. And sometimes in between dreams I dreamt extra chapters that wasn't in the book. Other times it's just different endings, different directions different character development. I never got so absorbed in a story the way this one got to me. I even got to the war that ends the Volturi's supremacy and The Cullens will forge a new Empire with the wolves. Lucu..lucu.. I cant understand much of this new obsession. Maybe this has always been what I need to read. Maybe it brings back the child in me, the make-believe world of sorts, and the positive, look-at-the-bright-side, good-will-always-win belief that almost lost within me... hehe...

So that's your cue, cuz, to let me in if u happen to come accross anything as exciting as this one...

WHAT THE F...

This is about UMNO. I am not a political fanatic, nor did I even care about politics before. Hate to imagine it, but WHO CARES ANYWAY, RIGHT? AS LONG AS WE HAVE MONEY TO BURN, WE WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE VIP SECTION LAUGHING DOWN ON THOSE FOOLS THINKING THEY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD WITH JUST A POCKET FULL OF DUST AND BROOM IN THEIR HANDS...

Nasib baik aku Orang Brunei, hehehe

Book Reading

During my recent visit to KL, I managed to spend some time to go into MPH bookstore, to reindulge my former passion, reading. I bought 5 books, from authors Robert Ludlum (my all time favorite writer) and Stephanie Meyer. I finished reading all but one. Here's the book list:

ROBERT LUDLUM'S THE BOURNE LEGACY - this book tells the story of the infamous spy/assassin Jason Bourne/David Webb, sometime after the Ultimatum, he's living as Professor Webb, an English Lecturer. He's trying to forget his other identity as Bourne and lead a happy and peaceful life with his wife and two children. But it seems that everything conspired against him ditching Bourne from his life...

ROBERT LUDLUM'S THE JANSON DIRECTIVE - This one also tells a story about Paul Janson a retired Spy/assassin, recalled to action for the last time only to realize that he was being used as a tool and framed for the crime, resulting the CIA to order a death sanction and other Intelligence Agency worldwide against him. The plot and twist of this story was so thrilling. It's Classic Ludlum.

ROBERT LUDLUM'S THE LAZARUS VENDETTA - This book is about terrorism beyond what we ever imagined, the danger of man abusing the wonder of technology, and the clever and almost perfect planning by the Lazarus Movement, only to be foiled by Covert-One's Colonel Jon Smith..

ROBERT LUDLUM'S THE SCORPIO ILLUSION - Havent finished this one, but basically its about a woman named Amaya Bajarrat, a very cunning, very dangerous one, master of creating diversion, illusion, with an arm in almost every government and organization. A woman whose motto is 'Death to all authority'...

STEPHANIE MEYER'S TWILIGHT - This one was a pleasant surprise for me. Seen the movie before, and this is wayyy better. Actually regret of not buying all series of the Twilight Saga. When I was at the bookstore I was contemplating on having the complete Saga (New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, is it all?) but finally chose to buy just Twilight.

I have rediscovered my lost passion, but my wife already complaining that I'm always with a book.. hehehe.. She even asked "am I boring you already?" hehe..

My Holidays

Hi all, been quite a while since I wrote anything significant in this realm of my thoughts.. well I been busy with work, and other stuff that occupied so much of my time.

I just wanna give y'all some update about my recent holidays with my better half. We went to KL with obviously different things in our minds-I would like to just enjoy my day off and relax, Maya on the other hand wanna go on a shopping frenzy. But it turned out that none of us were really satisfied on the outcome, and I blame it on our lack of planning, hehe..

First day (its actually an evening) we arrived, Merina my sil picked us up at the airport and we sped off to have chicken rice at Bukit Bintang. I ate 2 sets of those!.. then we went back to the house, at Taman Maluri. About the house, it was so conveniently located just outside KL, took just 5 minutes to go to Bukit Bintang, and about 10 to KLCC (via the new highway, and of course without the traffic jam la). Then we made a decision that will affect the rest of our days, a poor one, at that too.. We decided to visit KL's club scene, and believe me when I say it's just inappropriately timed, not that we didnt have a good time at The Loft KL, honestly we did, but at the expense of our energy..

Next morning(if u can consider 1.00pm as morning!) we woke up with that soreness in our bodies, the kind that you get after you went jogging for 10 miles.. but that didnt stop My Better Half from her frenzies.. while I just mostly sat down and fought off my hangover and soreness. There's something a lil' bit strange tho' in this recent holidays, even though my wife still got that shopping frenzy, she managed to avoid the 'usual' places that we frequently visit while we dated, and I'm sooo relieved even though I was wondering inside. She didnt even stop at any of the LVs, Pradas, and even at Pavilion, the only frightening time for me was when she just went in the Coach store and looked at the bags, but didnt buy em.. anyways, call me cheap but I am so glad.. hehe..

So where did she satisfy her thirst for shopping, you might ask? Its in Times Square, where the price hovers around 25 ringgits and no more than 100s. Tapi, even begitu pun, baju2 and the bags and whatever that ladies bought in their shopping spree, translated into 2 big boxes, hehe, girls will be always be girls.. I on the other hand was not planning to shop, but she finally convinced me to buy one Polo shirt and 2 bottles of my favorite perfume Carolina Hererra 212 and Dunhill Desire Blue.

We did have the chance to spend some time with Mibol, my youngest sister. Even planned to make her stay with us in Maluri but unfortunately she's having her BTN the next day.. so maybe next time la, we'll bring her shopping and have fun together..

Well this is it for this time, time constraint bah.. see you...

Something for The Future..

Been hunting for a house to call my own, after weeks of choosing the right one, finally We decided to buy an Apartment in Bandar Utama Sandakan. Utama Court 2, a 3 Bedrooms 2 bathrooms 8 storey apartment (elevator, of course), with 1145 sq.ft of built area. It's all about the location and future development. From the Main Project Proposal, Bandar Utama will be the next Hub for Sandakan. With a 5 star Hotel and Shopping Mall in progress, Giant Hypermarket, Stadium (Football and Rugby Field), Olympic sized Swimming Pools, I can't refuse the temptation to own an adress in Sandakan's Premier Location. Paid the booking fee already and now in progress of arranging the Sale & Purchase Agreement and bank loan. This is surely one for the future...

Doesnt even matter the pros and cons, I want every advice I can get my hands on.. so I can be prepared for the unknown (I know nobody can get prepared enough for this).

So that's your assignment folks...

See ya..

Futsal..

Last weekend me and my boys went to KK to participate in State level Futsal tournament (for my Department). We sent 2 teams from Sandakan, Mabuhay FC and Narkoba FC. I was the captain for Mabuhay FC. Both teams progressed well through group stages, Us being the Group A Champion and Narkoba second in Group B. But it was unfortunate for me when I was badly injured (my ankle got twisted in 3rd group match and then in final group match the tactic used by our opponent was to eliminate me from the game, being the playmaker and to stop me from distributing nice passes to Raihan, the most feared shooter in the tournament). I almost cried not just because of the pain, but mostly because I can't bear to watch the rest of my teammates played and struggled beyond their limit to defend our 2 goals lead and eventually win, getting us through to quarter finals.

In quarter finals match against the favorite team (seeded 1st in the tournament) which consist of state players, I was sidelined because I can barely walk, but when we were 2 goals down with just 4 minutes to go, I braved myself and tied my futsal boots so tight that I felt numb so I can bear the tremendous pain. I told the manager to please let me play, and as soon as I got inside the court, I have managed to change the flow of our game. I managed to orchestrate a very nice move and slide a piercing through pass for Isa to score. 2-1 was the score and 1 minute to go.. my right ankle was so painful and almost gone, and I guess its just the spirit and will to win that keep me going. I run like hell all over the court, hustling the opponent and suddenly the ball was at my feet, I dunno how, but I did my magic and Goall!! the score was 2-2 just a few second before the final whistle, and I dropped to the ground, unable to withstand the pain, I cant even move my right leg without screaming. The match ended in a 2-2 draw full time. It came down to penalty shoot-out and I didnt get to be replaced. The rules said only the players inside the court can take penalty, that means I have to kick the ball with literally one good foot left. How can I, seriously, kick a ball when I can barely stand up? So we lose by 1 penalty kicks, every players scored except me (because I cant kick the ball, remember?) I guess it just wasnt our day..

But that wasnt the worse, Narkoba FC also got through to Quarter Finals, draw 2-2 and lose by flip of a 20 cents coin. That was so ridiculous, not to be sore losers but hey, is it fair to determine the fate of a team with a 20 cents coin, when you could think of at least ten other ways to conclude a game?.. U can recycle the penalty kickers until one of them misses, there is also sudden death extra time, but seems like the advantage was given to the home teams.. well it just wasnt our tournament to win, but most of the spectators, neutrals especially admitted both Mabuhay and Narkoba deserved to go further. Guess which team won the tournament, the team that beat us was the champ and the team that beat Narkoba was 2nd..

Next time will be different.. be sure of it. We are now the force to be reckoned with..

Pertempuran Berdarah 2009

Well, one of my 2009 resolution is to stay low keyed in some areas, especially violence. But what can I say? sometimes even how hard you try to avoid trouble, it tries even harder to find you.. this is my story..

Selamat Pengantin Baru..

One day last week time balik kerja tiba2 ternampak satu kad jemputan kahwin atas meja: Pn. Maya dan suami. So aku buka la tengok siapa yang kawin.. Written on the inside Kartini Abdullah dan Muhaizad bin Ahmad Mustapha.. nikahnya di Taman Mawar 17 Januari 2009, dan majlis persandingannya pula di Sanbay Hotel 18 Januari (semalam) jam 7 malam. Anda recognize siapa Muhaizad bin Ahmad Mustapha? dia lebih dikenali dengan nama glamornya Ako Mustapha. Majlis nikahnya hari tu dihadiri juga oleh Encik Cip Kodok iaitu Afdlin Shauki himself, tapi kejap jak la.. time sanding cip tiada datang.. aku pun ndak datang masa sanding tu sebab training futsal untuk tournament di KK Ahad ni.. Maya jak yang pigi, menurut Maya nda juga berapa meriah majlis tu.. meriah lagi majlis kami di sabah Hotel last year.. sempat jugalah Maya ambil gambar kenangan dengan pengantin malam semalam.. Mungkin majlis tu sederhana sebab Ako nda mau kecoh2.. apa2pun selamat pengantin baru...

Bah, sampai sini la dulu celoteh hari ni.. see you when I see you guys.. bye.

Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009

Kepada reader blog ni, I'm sorry for all the wrong things I've done, directly or indirectly.. hope this year akan bring more happiness, health and wealth for all of us..

Ok, sebelum aku merapu banyak, I know I have somekind of 'hutang' with y'all, about the stories I promised to tell y'all.. hehe.. Sorry too much was goin' on that I can't seem to find the time to write. I don't think it matters anymore (basi plak sudah rasanya).. But I'll just fill you in with my original points, minus the elaborate storytelling that I was supposed to do.. hehe...

1. Pierre Andre- I think this guy was one of the most talented people in Malaysia, nuff said.
2 Myvi - Accident hari tu, ada macik ni anaknya kawin di rumah sebelah, jadi dia parking siring jalan, time aku limpas, nda lagi meninguk2 trus dia buka pintu.. next thing I know 'kprasck!!' luckily I dint crash into her.. but its okay now.
3. proton MSX - Super 3.0 SUV (almost like Caldina in appearance) a Proton-Lotus concept car, with reported ability to accelerate at the pace of 0-100 in only 5+ second and top speed 250km/h.. what do u think?
4. Hari IM***N Malaysia - Everything went well, I was the Emcee for Majlis Perhimpunan and the Sabah Hotel Dinner (this one had to replace Mr. Ismail Wahab at the last minute). The State Director seems Pleased with us.. so I guess its kinda OK..
